I have upgraded Driven Daily to use the standardized Disqus comment system. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to integrate the old comments and may not be able to at all. I’ll keep looking at it this week, but can’t really make any promises. From here on out all new comments will be given using Disqus.
As a secondary change, this will disable post synchronizing between comments here and the bbpress forum that I launched as a test awhile back (which was removed). I don’t get quite enough traffic to make a forum worthwhile, but I wanted to be familiar with the way the two systems integrate. It’s a little messy, code-wise but it seems to work well. I for one won’t miss the forum in the least. I’m active on several other online forums, where you’ll most likely be able to find me as ”drummingpariah”. You can find me on Disqus here.
Disqus is the top commenting platform in my opinion. Not only is Facebook Connect integration nice but allowing users to also use their Twitter accounts to leave comments is awesome..
Disqus now brings us the ability to comment using your Twitter account. You don’t have to give up your actual Twitter credentials since Disqus takes advantage of Twitter’s support..
I absolutely love Disqus and am happy that you guys are trying it out. I get all excited when I see other websites using Disqus, and it encourages me to leave a comment.
